How to Sign "11" in American Sign Language (ASL)

ASL shows the number 11 by tapping two upward index fingers together twice. The sign came from putting two "1" signs together, which makes perfect sense when you think about how to show the number eleven in a visual way. Keep your palm facing forward and your hands at chest level when you make this sign. People use this number all the time for things like telling someone what time it is, talking about dates on a calendar, or just counting up to higher numbers. When signing any number from 11 to 15, you'll always tap the first number against the second one.
